ARIES – March 21 to April 20

A true Aries hates antiques and old stuff.  Most love glass and diamonds, custom-made things, or things that appeal directly to their egos, such as something that has their name on it.  They love “magic-looking gift wrap, especially ‘shiny’ paper with lots of ribbon.”  “They will love an old used gum-ball if you wrap it right.” Favorite colors:  red, black & white, and see-thru. 

TAURUS – April 21 to May 21

They go for “quality and expensive stuff.”    Fabulous food, specialty candies, and flowers work well.  “Pay particular attention to texture – things have to feel good or smell good.”   “They see things as symbols of what you feel about them.”  Favorite colors:  pastels and any shade of blue.

GEMINI – May 22 to June 21

These people are easily bored, yet are interested in everything.  “It’s best to give them a collection of assorted little gifts.”  They like ’jokey’ items, neck wear, scarves, beads, books, magazines, theatre tickets, and sea shells.  They don’t care much about the wrapping, “but do stick it in a bag so there’s a five second mystery.”   Favorite colors:  green and yellow, and all bright colors.

CANCER – June 22 to July 23

These are “mushy and moody” people so they like sentimental things – photographs of yourself or family in an old style frame.  Love gifts for the home – candles, antiques, cooking stuff, bedspreads.  “They are partial to shawls and ponchos.”  Wrap presents in “icky flowered paper…and be sure to give them a soppy card as well.”  Favorite colors:  all the colors can “be found on the inside of the shell of an abalone.”

LEO – July 24 to August 23

“Better make it big.” Gold gift wrap, big ribbons, and royal treatment.”  You can’t fail with good-time presents, such as theater tickets, fancy dinner out, singing telegram, or things that cater to their ego, like a mirror, something with their name on it, or something for their hair.  They like kimonos, lions, and jokes.  Favorite colors:  gold, flaming reds, blazing oranges, and dead blacks.

VIRGO – August 24 to September 23

“They’re not at all fussy about what you give them…they get nervous if they think you’ve spent a lot of money on them, so simple, well-researched gifts are best.”  How-to books, psychology books, books that sharpen their analytic skills.  “They love natural fibers, woven things, and baskets” maybe filled with flowers and health food products. Also like calculators and computer games – anything “functional.”  Favorite colors:  brown, cream, wheat, khaki – soft ‘natural’ tones.

LIBRA – September 24 to October 23

Romantics that love the flowery card.  Just don’t leave them alone on their day.  “Flowers, clothes, and jewelry are their favorites.”   “Girls like art, jewelry, makeup, and perfume.  Boys like bar things, crystal, cds, and gold chains.”  Favorite colors:  “pastels, especially pink and mauve, blues and purples, and, weirdly, red.”

SCORPIO – October 24 to November 22

“Hard to shop for.”  “They can pull it out of a brown paper bag…the wrapping is so quickly forgotten.”  “Anything with a mystery in it…..”  “Just remember – a Scorpio likes consistency.”  (Sorry if this isn’t much help here – much could not be repeated on this family friendly site – LOL).  Favorite colors:  black, blue, maroon, and dark green.

SAGITTARIUS – November 23 to December 21

“Things that glow in the dark.  Driving gloves.  Beach towels.  Sporting equipment.  Tickets to games.  Practical joke kits.  Horse books.  Lottery tickets.  Space stuff.  Magazine subscriptions.  A real show-stopper:  something smashing to wear that they look good in because YOU picked it out, not them…they always need another baggy sweater.”  Favorite colors:  purple, royal blue, dark blue, and white.

CAPRICORN – December 22 to January 20

“Goats are easy to shop for.  They like the best, or what people think is the best: Gucci, Chanel, Vuitton…”    Massage gift certificates are great, as are  balloons with happy thoughts on them.  “Stuff that will help them with their work will impress them the most – a briefcase or a filing cabinet…”  Favorite colors:  dark green, black, silver, gray, and other natural earth tones.

AQUARIUS – January 21 to February 19

“Gizmos excite them, anything in good humor and good taste.  Try pyramids, Chinese cooking tools, beanbag chairs, robots, and things made out of modern materials, like acrylic.”  They like to build their own ships, and gardens in a bottle will keep them happily crazed.”  Most of all, find out what their current hobby is and stick with the current theme.  Favorite colors: “‘shocking’ shades, white, blue, yellow,  always green, and stripes.”

PISCES – February 20 to March 20
